Fisk pitching for Grafton High School
MILWAUKEE – Conor Fisk, an alumnus of the Wisconsin RockHounds baseball club and senior on Grafton High School’s varsity team, was selected during the 34th round of the MLB draft by the Milwaukee Brewers on June 9th.
Baseball American Magazine projected Fisk, who recently pitched a perfect game for his team, as the top player in the draft from the state of Wisconsin.
How did this Wisconsin native land on the MLB radar? Fisk has been involved in baseball since he was four. He spent four of his formative years with the select baseball organization, the Wisconsin RockHounds. He then moved onto Grafton High School, pitching for the varsity team his freshman year.
Fisk has likely played four times as many games as many other players his age. Unlike Little League and recreational teams, the Wisconsin RockHounds is home to U9 through U14 traveling tournament teams, each of which play anywhere from 45 – 60 games per season, providing players with the opportunity to hone their skills in a competitive environment.
His skills were noticed in 2009 when he was selected to play for the Reds Midwest Scout Team Fall Scout League. The league is a collection of mostly senior players and their participation provides them with exposure in front of college and professional scouts. The teams played around the Midwest on college fields. Iowa, Illinois, University of Illinois-Chicago and Wrigley Field were just a few of the fields they played on. The fall season ended in Jupiter, Florida at the World Wood Bat Association Championships played on the Rodger Dean fields, spring training home of the Cardinals & Marlins.
The dedication and game time with the Wisconsin RockHounds paid off for Fisk. The Brewers will be watching him this summer and everyone in Wisconsin is routing for him to become our home grown player on the Milwaukee Brewers.

The team took second place during the June Jam USSSA tournament held in Waukegan, Illinois. This was the third weekend in a row our boys played in the rain, and also placed among the top teams! It was a wet victory.

After fighting it out during the three day Huntley Memorial Day Classic Tournament, against Illinois based teams, the U10 RockHounds took home the medals earning Third Place in the Huntley Memorial Day Classic, a USSSA sanctioned tournament.
Our team traveled the furthest, fought the hardest, and waited the longest for the concluding game, which was at 6:00 p.m. Monday! They won 4 of 6 games played.
While the WoodStock Tsunami's ultimately took first place, we were proud to beat them during our first head-to-head game in the beginning of the tournament.
U10 RockHounds Take Third in Huntley Memorial Day Classic 2010
The 11u Rockhounds got their 2010 campaign off to a great start, going 4-0 in their first 4 matchups.
On April 17th, the Hounds traveled to Hitters Sportsplex, an indoor facility in Middleton Wis. to kick off the 2010 season with a three game tourney. The Hounds qualified for the championship game by winning their first 2 games 5-0 and 11-3. The Hounds brought home the gold, beating BOSS (Milw.) 8-7 in the tournament finale.
The next weekend, the Hounds traveled to Lake Villa IL, and won their first game 14-0. Unfortunately, the rest of the tournament was washed out by Mother Nature.
Hounds pitching has been superb, with 2 no-hitters in the young season, and a one-hitter to boot. The bats have been hot as well, producing 38 runs in 4 games, with the boys getting on base at a 58% clip.
This coming weekend the Hounds will travel to Lafayette Indiana, hopefully the boys will keep playing sound on both sides of the diamond. Go Hounds!
After duking it out in the sun, the U10 RockhHounds took third place during the Waukesha Blast Tournament. In four games, the team racked up 38 runs and tied for second for the least amount of runs allowed during the tournament!
